This is the text you need to work on: We had our Unimog U3000 custom built by MotorCraft Adventure Developments Ltd,UK in 2022.
This ex-Red Cross vehicle had only 22,000 miles /35,000km on the odometer when we shipped it from England to New York. Over the following 14 months this incredibly capable vehicle enabled us to live both on and off grid in Canada, the USA, Mexico and Central America. Throughout these travels she has proven to be a very comfortable home and an incredibly reliable vehicle due to her high specification, excellent build quality and regular maintenance.
In summer 2023 we put it into storage while we returned to the UK. Due to unforeseen health reasons she remained in storage for 15 months. We returned in October 2024, installed new batteries and promptly got back on the road.
Sadly, due to the need for ongoing medical treatment we now need to curtail our travel ambitions and need to sell this truck.
We are currently in the USA and are still travelling in the truck, however our plans are flexible. The vehicle is currently registered in the UK and is eligible for permanent importation and registration within Canada, but we do not believe it can be permanently imported and registered within the USA for another 6 years. However, as it is already located in the USA it does provide an excellent opportunity for Europeans (and others) wishing to travel in The Americas to avoid both the need for importation costs and shipping costs.
