About
Around the WORLD ready camper! Car with BIG story and travel history! We have had this car for almost 13 years. It was completely rebuilt from stock and the Camper shell is designed and built from scratch by professional campervans designer (me:). In 2015 we did a 5-month trip from Europe via Central Asia (Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran), in 2016 we did 6-month trip to Mongolia and Siberia where we turned back in Vladivostok! After each trip the car was completely checked and serviced, and it is ready to go around the world again.
It is originally a Ford Bronco XLT 1991 with a 5.8L V8 (351W) engine. Automatic transmission E4OD with OverDrive. It is 4x4 with 4LO and manual front hubs. 4x4 can be set on the fly by pressing the button. All modifications are legally approved and documented. The camper shell passed national test certification in DEKRA for the camper shell, and everything is clear and without any problem on the TUV. It is in CAT M1 under 3.5T. Max. weight of vehicle is 3480kg. ENGINE: The original 5.8L is rebuilt to a Stroker 393 (6.4L) approx. 300HP. It has 50,000km since this rebuild. Connected with the new 5.13 gears, the dynamic up to 100km/h is really solid. Running on both petrol and LPG, there is a 120L LPG tank inside the car. The LPG system has never had a problem and it helps making the car more long-trip friendly (you can find LPG stations in Central Asia, Siberia, Europe without any problem).
TRANS: E4OD was freshly rebuilt. All new internals, shift kit, etc. Rear AXLE: New DANA60 Ultimate from USA (fullfloat heavy-duty axle) with Eaton Elocker. Camper shell: Designed & built from scratch directly for this vehicle by professional campervan designer. Aluminum frame, plywood interior covers, fiberglass external cover. Pop-up roof with two beds, 186x140 and 186x70. They can slide together or can be as two individual beds, one in the front above the cabin and second in the back.
Camper accessories: Camper shell has GAS (propane) and water system. There is a 22L propane tank with external tanking inlet (you can get propane easily on LPG stations). It has 56L fresh water tank and 20L grey water tank. Inside the kitchen has a gas stove with sink. Outside is an outlet for gas (for the outside grill / cooker) and for the shower. There is also an indoor shower with basin hidden under the floor. There are two heaters, propane Truma S2200 and petrol Eberspacher B3LC. Hot water is handled by Elgena HOT water dual system. Water can be heated up by engine water or by 230V in the camp. Two batteries are in the engine bay and there is a dual batt system (Cyrix). 2000W inverter and a lot more. Fridge is Indel-B 36L. In the interior there is space for 4 big EURO boxes (60x40x40mm) for all the clothes and some other stuffs. There is huge space under the bed (where we normally transport some spare parts for the car).
