About
Car is sold including free shipping to any country in the world, either shipped by truck or to the nearest sea port in the buyer’s country.
Unique Hummer H1 for sale. Imported from the USA to Iceland and then from Iceland to Norway. The dream was to build an expedition car, but due to strange rules in Norway it cannot be driven on a normal license. (Max 3500kg) - I see it as unrealistic and manage to build the car light enough to get under this limit since I want to carry also a boat and outboard engine.
Similar cars that have been overland equipped cost over $350,000! For the right buyer there is a chance for at least $200,000 in profit on this car.
About the car:
The car has been modified to fit 44 tires and larger. The car is currently on wide 16.5 rims and Ground Hog tires. These must be replaced. It comes with an extra rim and spare tire.
The car has not been started for a long time and the condition is uncertain, but it ran very well a few years ago. The superstructure is made of fiberglass with Divinycel core. Professionally built in Iceland in cast form. This means the car is ready isolated and very strong and light. There were wall-to-wall carpets at the back of the living room - I have taken this out and there are glue residues left which I have started to remove, as seen in the pictures. Gearbox shift smooth and goes from high to low range very easily. The 6.5 diesel engine is easy to service and replace – or just install a Duramax engine with an Allison transfer case and get very good fuel mileage and selectable 2x4 or 4x4. It’s a great car for building something unique.
Only two were built with this superstructure – but only one was modified to fit 44 tires. The car was built by a professional company and was used by the civil defense. The car is surprisingly good to drive on the big tires and cruise easily at 100kmh. If anyone wants to put it back on stock 37” tires this is no problem – it’s only to remove the body lift (very easy job on H1).
The car is and is considered a project and is being sold as is. I have had several questions about shipping costs – mostly the shipping costs are so cheap ($2000-$3000 worldwide) so I will offer FREE shipping to a sea port close to the buyer. The sea port will be the closest available with direct shipping from Europe either from Norway or Sweden. (Or by trailer if the car is sold in Europe). It is important to me that this car goes to a buyer who wants to restore it and take care of it.
Buyer is responsible for shipping cost from his/her country’s seaport/terminal.
