2006 International CE300 American school bus conversion.
We purchased this bus just over a year ago and have been travelling the UK and Europe in it; it’s been a brilliant vehicle and draws a lot of attention wherever you go. We have done around 5,000 miles trouble-free in it. We are only selling it as our circumstances have changed and we are looking to get something smaller.
Very solid and strong chassis and body; everything is made of metal, not like your average plastic motorhome. Remember these are made to transport kids, so they are very safe!
Would make a brilliant glamping vehicle or is ready to go and travel like we have in it. Drives lovely and will cruise at 56 mph all day.
This is the main spec of the bus:
Engine: International DT466E 7.6L Diesel – this is the engine to have as it only has an EGR system rather than all the newer engines with the DPF and other emission control stuff. Low mileage of 89,000 if you do your research; you will see these engines can go to 500,000 no problem. All serviced and ready to go, new oil, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter.
Also included in the sale, Nexiq USB link for connecting to the engine and gearbox diagnostic port. Easily connect and see fault codes.
Gearbox: Allison 2500 5-speed automatic – very reliable and robust gearbox.
30cm roof raise giving extra headroom.
Custom roof rack housing the solar panels with a walkway between panels for easy access.
75mm Ceoltex insulation under 22mm t@g flooring and new foil insulation in the roof.
4/5 berth – 1 double sofa bed, 1 small double over garage, 1 standard enclosed single.
3 x smart TVs – one in rear bed, one in the side bed, and 1 in the seating/kitchen area.

You can change between the two setups so you are covered in the UK and Europe. Also have a Spanish regulator that can be connected into the system. Gas bottles and regulator all inside the rear external locker.

We have two kids with tablets charging, our phones and laptops charging, electric kettle, air fryer, and this system handles it with ease. There is an external electric hook-up point and cable if you need to use it, and we also have a champion 2000kw petrol generator in the front locker as a backup. This means you can stay off-grid without the need for campsite electric hook-up.
