About
Mercedes Benz Axor 1824, 4×2 with rear diff lock, with custom-built body. We have driven the vehicle around southern Africa, it is ready to find its new owners as we aren't travelling as much any more. Vehicle is on UK plates and is currently in Australia, can either be registered in Australia or re-exported to the UK.
Fully insulated body, double glazed windows. Comfortable living areas with high quality finishes. Queen-size (152x200) sky bed (lowers from the ceiling), 2x single bunk beds. U-shaped bench with capacity to seat up to 6 people with custom-built hardwood table can be raised or lowered. Vinyl tile flooring.
Kitchen: Well-equipped indoor kitchen with stone counter top, 2 burner gas hob, sink with hot/cold Hans Grohe mixer tap, two 65L Dometic fridge/freezers.
Power: Victron electrical systems (12v, 24v and 240v systems). Victron Multiplus inverter (24/3000/70/50 230v). Three 365W solar panels on roof (total 1095W). Truck can charge via solar, and shore/mains power. 240Ah lithium-ion battery bank. LED lighting interior and exterior using both 24v and 240v systems.
Water systems: 400L fresh water tanks (two tank system), 80L grey water tank, 60L twin-coil calorifier (geyser). Vetus water pumps and gauges. Thetford cassette toilet. Shower with adjustable Hans Grohe shower head. Wooden flooring in bathroom including slatted flooring in shower area. Glass vanity basin.
Other: Cab-top roof rack for additional storage eg kayaks, steel sand mats, plenty of externally accessible storage for tools, spare parts, wood etc. External awning.
