Are you looking for a compact and container friendly vehicle to travel the world – but with two double beds, a toilet, full height internal shower, heating, hot water, kitchen and fridge, yet compact enough for the tightest of tracks and capable of tackling the toughest of terrains with proven and unsurpassed reliability? Then look no further.
Based on the legendary Landcruiser 80 series – this is one of the last 24V models with the bombproof 4.2 1HD-FT Diesel turbocharged engine, 3 diff locks (front, centre and rear) and coil sprung all round so a comfortable ride, easily cruising at 70 mph. It has simple mechanicals serviceable around the globe. This vehicle was chosen over the 70 Series as many of those do not have diff locks, they have agricultural leaf spring technology and ones with 4.2 engine are unavailable with a factory turbo so very slow. The later models also have far too complicated engines.
The body was chopped and a custom German manufacturered composite cabin was integrated onto the chassis and a custom made Bundutec electrical elevating roof installed on the top. A spaceship style rear opening door and polyvision DG windows completes the cabin setup.
The build was completed in early 2020.
Designed for outside and inside living.
For inside there is normal sitting headroom when the roof is down and standing height when roof is up. Internal comforts include full height standing shower (when roof up), toilet with SOG, blown air heating, hot water, double hob cooker, sink, 65L Compressor fridge and LED lighting.
Outside benefits from a Big Country 270 degree wrap around awning, fold down table, external lighting, shower and tap. Separate outside table is stored in an underslung external locker as are the levelling blocks.
