About
Due to new projects, we want to give our UAZ Buchanka into loving hands.
The camper is sold in Georgia.
Georgian registration and international insurance can be taken care of.
The Buchanka was built to my liking by me and Caucasus Camper Construction 2020 in Georgia. The basis is the UAZ double cab with a 2.7 liter petrol engine and just 8,500 km. It has all-wheel drive and a reduction gear, with manual locks in the front. The winch in the massive bumper can be converted into a table and hammock. This camper masters any terrain and has taken us everywhere so far, including gravel roads to Tusheti and off-road adventures in the Vashlovani National Park in Georgia. Please investigate the vehicle beforehand – it is and will always be a Buchanka :-) The adventures have, of course, left some scratches, unfortunately unavoidable.
The double cab frame was lengthened, reinforced, raised, and fitted with stronger springs and tires. The rear drum brakes were replaced with disc brakes. Although the camper weighs 2,970 kg, it can climb any mountain. However, it has never been fast. The large alcove cabin has a passage to the driver’s cab, measuring 200x200 cm, with a seating group that can be converted into a bed/couch measuring 115x200 cm. The wet cell includes a shower and a TTT (dry separating toilet) with sufficient space and storage. Under the cab in the frame is a 130 liter fresh water tank and a 45 liter gray water tank. Water is filtered through six stages when filling and draining. Water can be filled at any clean river with a hose and pump. The kitchen features a two-burner gas cooker (Thetford), a 109-liter Dometic refrigerator with freezer compartment, a spice cabinet with additional work surface, and a sink with a pull-out faucet. There’s also a wardrobe with enough space for 2-4 people. An electroblock and charge controller from Schaudt charge the 400 Ah LIFO battery with 480 watts of solar power. A 500 watt inverter can operate devices with 230 volts. An Elgena boiler 12v 6 liters provides hot water for the shower and sink. On cold days, a petrol heater warms the body. Large windows and huge skylights from Dometic let natural light into the expedition vehicle. The camper is as self-sufficient as possible. We haven't seen a campsite or electricity connection in the past 3 years.
