Our family adventure (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 11) in our Combi T3 Syncro 4x4 van was an unforgettable experience. We left France for an extraordinary journey to India, crossing Eastern Europe, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Iran and Pakistan, over a period of 2 years.
Each stage of our journey was rich in discoveries and encounters. In Eastern Europe, we explored picturesque villages and magnificent landscapes, before moving on to Turkey, where we marvelled at the historic treasures of Istanbul and the lunar landscapes of Cappadocia. Our time in Iran was marked by the warm hospitality of the local people and the architectural wonders of Persepolis and Isfahan. Pakistan impressed us with the beauty of its mountains and the richness of its culture. Finally, arriving in India was the crowning glory of our trip, with its vibrant colours, majestic temples and incredible diversity. The trip strengthened our bond and left us with lasting memories of an extraordinary family adventure.

This trip was made possible because our T3 Syncro 4x4 combi, is 100% self-sufficient for a family of 4:

This 1991 T3 syncro 4x4 combi is fitted with Volkswagen's extraordinary 1.6 liters Turbo Diesel engine (historically fitted to Combis, Beetles, Golf 1 and 2, etc.), which makes it a very reliable engine, but above all very easy to repair, not only because of the simplicity of manufacture, but also because of the availability of parts worldwide at low prices.
The engine has 207,000 km on the clock and can still do twice that without any problem! Average fuel consumption of 8.5 litres.
Needless to say, it's been perfectly maintained: it's been our home for several years! We couldn't take the risk of it letting us down: ‘Look after your mount, it'll take you a long way’. What's more, we've tried as far as possible to keep the original parts: steering wheel, seat, bench, etc., which gives it all its charm!
It's in good cosmetic condition for its age, but it's not new - it bears the scars of 30 years of loyal service.
